Dear Adele,

No, not me.
The singer songwriter now 21 or recently turned 22 or whatever. (That’s why you named your album that right?)
First of all, congratulations on your Grammy and all. I know “Chasing Pavements” was running through my head all last year. And I’ve got to tell you, your newly found fame has definitely helped me when people see my name (…or yours), on paper. Our name isn’t common...

I found this dating advice from Rahiel Tesfamarian of Urban Cusp, a woman I was lucky enough to work with a couple years ago. It’s really exciting to see her doin her thing!

Movie of the Month: Kinyarwanda (2011)
I’m really lucky to have amazing friends and family that think about me and hit me up with they think something might interest me. I was truly lucky this month to have multiple people, and to be getting involved in a community of filmmakers and artists in New York, that told me about the film Kinyarwanda (2011) directed by first time feature director Alrick Brown. Health. Baby Steps. Bancha Tea.
I want to be healthier. Most of us do. But I’m realizing something about myself, I don’t think I have the extreme discipline of others when it comes to food. I have friends that decide to just detox here and there and they are so good about it. One of my close friends used to do the lemon juice and cayenne cleanse on a monthly basis (he also just ran the Pacific Coast Trail from Canada...
Kinyarwanda is soooo good!!!!

Doc of the Day: Bastards of the Party (2005)
Every time I learn more about the history of Blacks in America I am floored by how much I don’t know. Bastards of the Party (2005) takes a look at the history of gang violence in Los Angeles. Almost from the opening moments you experience once shock after another. It’s crazy to think that the first gangs in LA were white! Before the Crips and Bloods you had gangs called the Slausons...
